I graduated with my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree two years ago and immediately went to work for the Holy Union Sisters at St. Monica Catholic Health Centre Baba I, Ndop. During this time I worked as a general practitioner and my activities included; outpatient and inpatient consultations, surgical interventions and community health education (vaccination campaigns, Chronic care clinics) After about a year I chose to move as a result of the escalating social unrest.
The St John of God Hospital is one of the main health facilities found in Batibo health District and has as one of its main objectives to give a greater value to health in its spiritual, physical, cultural and human domain. This hospital has an Outpatient department, Inpatient department, surgical unit and a maternity. It's activities include; General consultations, Maternity and Infant welfare Clinics and surgical services. It also has 7 outreach posts, 5 of which are currently operational.
